Book Review: The Coaching Habit by Michael Bungay Stanier

What's on my mind?

Just finished climbing out of an awesome book by Michael Bungay Stanier and had to let you know.

If you are a coach, manager or leader in any capacity, find The Coaching Habit: Say Less, Ask More & Change the Way You Lead Forever and devour it.

The author's promise is this: you only need to ask the 7 questions to achieve everything that comes after the colon in the book title.

And what are they?

1. What's on your mind?
2. And what else?
3. What's the real challenge for you here?
4. What do you want?
5. How can I help?
6. What are you saying no to?
7. What was most useful for you?
These questions are powerful!

I tested the first one on my Facebook page and the replies are pouring in as I type this.

The Coaching Habit is superbly written and sparkling with examples to illustrate the author's points.

And what else?

The list of resources at the end of the book.

Priceless.

Find this book now.

You'll be glad you did.
